Editorial guidelines

At The Basal Dental Implant Association, our mission is to provide patients and dental professionals with the most accurate, evidence-based, and up-to-date information regarding basal implantology. Given the specialized nature of basal implants, we adhere to a rigorous editorial process to ensure our content meets the highest clinical standards.

1. Content Creation & Expert Authorship

All medical content on this website—including articles, procedural guides, and dental technology breakdowns—is created by or in close collaboration with licensed dental professionals.

  • Expert Sourcing: We prioritize information derived from peer-reviewed dental journals, clinical trials, and the practical experience of veteran basal implantologists.
  • Directory Integrity: Our directory of basal implant dentists is strictly vetted. Profiles are only approved for clinicians who provide verifiable proof of their medical credentials and specialized training in basal implant techniques.

2. The Clinical Review Process

To ensure medical safety and accuracy, every medical web page on our site undergoes a multi-step review:

  1. Initial Draft: Content is drafted by qualified medical writers or practitioners.
  2. Clinical Review: A designated medical expert reviews the content for clinical accuracy, identifying any outdated techniques or potential health risks.
  3. Fact-Checking: All claims regarding success rates, recovery times, and procedural steps are cross-referenced with current medical literature.
  4. Final Approval: Content is only published once it carries a “Clinical Review” seal, indicating the date of the last review and the name of the reviewing clinician.

3. Reviewer Qualifications

Individuals designated as Clinical Reviewers for our association must hold a valid EducationalOccupationalCredential (such as a Master of Dental Medicine or equivalent) and demonstrate active experience in the field of basal implantology.

4. Continuous Updates & Maintenance

Basal implant technology evolves rapidly. We review our primary medical content at least annually. If a significant advancement in dental technology or a shift in clinical guidelines occurs, relevant pages are updated immediately to reflect the new standard of care.

5. Transparency and Ethics

  • Conflict of Interest: Our reviewers are required to disclose any financial or professional affiliations that might influence their clinical judgment.
  • Corrections: We are committed to transparency. If an error is identified, we correct the content promptly and note the update on the page.
